The 2018 Spirits Alive Ground Hog Day Event
Saturday, February 2nd with tours starting at 4PM
If you missed Spirits Alive 2018 last October, this is your opportunity for a second chance!
Pass from room to room and sit to hear the Spirits of 2018 who are returning for just one night to share the firsthand accounts of the lives of Cheshire’s past residents. The stories are sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes shocking, and always entertaining and educational.
Tea lights in mason jars will light the path to the back door of the Hitchcock-Philips House. Guides will point the way as you wander with your tour group through rooms and up and down stairs to meet the spirits.
Cheshire’s forgotten history is revealed as Spirits Alive unearths true stories of local history.
Regularly Occurring Events
SUNDAYS: The Hitchcock-Phillips House (HPH) is open to the public every Sunday, 2-4 p.m. through the end of the year. Tours are available.
It is also open by appointment on other days. Call (203) 272-2574 to schedule a visit for a private tour or for research purposes. CHS now offers WiFi to our researchers and guests and an updated Meeting Room (available for rental).
